In terms of guest nights spent at commercial and private accommodations, it is the fourth most popular destination in Hungary.

The town can be reached by train on the Sopron-Szombathely railway line. Well-developed bicycle paths connect it with Csepreg, Lutzmannsburg, Zsira, and Bő.

BÜKFÜRDŐ

Bükfürdő is one of the most popular thermal spas in Hungary. The highly therapeutic waters of Bükfürdő belong to the group of calcium and magnesium bicarbonate thermal waters. At a depth of 1,282 meters, thermal water emerges at a temperature of 55 degrees Celsius, rich in calcium, magnesium, fluoride, and carbon dioxide.

It is highly recommended for the treatment of musculoskeletal and joint diseases, calcification, jaw wear, lower back pain, as well as for rehabilitation after orthopedic and neurosurgical surgeries.

SAINT CLEMENS CHURCH

The Roman Catholic church dedicated to St Clemens was built in the 13th century and rebuilt in 1408 in Gothic style. The tower was built in 1658. Between 1732 and 1757, the entire building was rebuilt in Baroque style. The wall paintings date partly from the Middle Ages and partly from the 16th century. The Marian column next to it dates from the 18th century.

SZAPÁRY CASTLE

Szapáry Castle dates back to the 16th century and was rebuilt in 1699 in Baroque style by István Nagy of Felsőbük. The interior decorations were created by Italian masters. In 2007, it became private property, it is used as a family home, it is closed to the outside world by a high wall, and it is not accessible to visitors.
